RE-ADVERTISEMENT OF TENDER FOR LEASE OF GEREZANI RAILWAY CLUB-DAR ES SALAAM

Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) is inviting tenders from interested bidders to lease Gerezani Railway Club at Dar es Salaam for duration of two years from July, 2006 renewable depending on good performance.

A: Requirements:

Bidder should posses a valid business license for provision of social activities not less than 5 years experience of running such a business and should list down activities, which their company has run successfully. Bidder should be able to renovate and run the following facilities in the proper and satisfactory manner:
Ø Meeting place (Conference facilities)
Ø Open-air restaurant
Ø Outside catering facilities
Ø Sports bar (showing live sports events e.g boxing, netball, volleyball land basketball)
Ø Hall and facilities for ceremonies
Ø Sports facilities i.e tennis, squash, darts e.t.c.
Ø Sports shop
Ø Packing facilities for customers

B: Tendering conditions

1. Bidder should renovate the premises as per Bill of Quantities (BQQ), which is part of the bidding document. The premises together with all fittings and fixtures therein located at Gerezani railway club includes but not limited to the following:
a. Main Central building
b. Sports grounds
c. Squash court
d. Garden area

2.The renovation work shall be completed within six months from date of commencement of the Contract agreement.

3.Bidder should quote the lease fee per year to be paid in advance.

4.Successful bidder shall recover renovation costs incurred by him within the contract period of two (2) years.

5.Teder documents may be obtained at the office of Cirf Supplies Manager situated at Shaurimoyo Street, Dar es Salaam upon payment of non refundable fee of USD 100 or its equivalent in Tshs. at the Chief of Finance Office , Dar es Salaam or any nearest TRC station Master's Office and attach a photocopy of the receipt together with a business license on the tender.

6. All those who had previously tendered can collect the bidding document at NO FEE on submitting the TRC receipt for the USD 100 or its equivalent in Tshs.

7. Bidder must submit from a recognised commercial Bank Bid Bond in Bankers Cheqque equivalent to 2% of the Bid price.

8. Bidders must give an indication of a sound financial capability through submission of recently Audited Accounts.

9.Successful Bidder shall within a month from the date of commencement of agreement, furnish the corporation with Performance Security (Bond) equivalent to 10% of the Contract price for the the whole period of 2 years from the recognised commercial bank.
10. All tenders must be submitted in plain , sealed envelop clearly marked "TENDER NO CSM/02/06 FOR LEASE OF GEREZANI RAILWAY CLUB", addressed and posted to:

The Chairman,
Headquarters Tender Board,
Tanzania Railways Corporation,
P.o Box 468,
Dar es Salaam.

Or
Deposited in the Tender Box located at Conference room on the 1st floor of the TRC Headquarters building situated at the corner of Sokoine drive Railway Street.

11. All tenders must be submitted by 10:30 a.m on Friday 5th may, 2006, after which tenders will be opened on the same day at 10:30a.m. Tenderers or their representatives who wish to attend tender opening are advised to do so.

12. The corporation is not bound to accept the highest or any tender and will not entertain any communication from bidders for whatever reasons other than tender submission.

13. Non-compliance of the tender conditions will automatically disqualify the tender.
